Default Navbar question - 11-01-2005 , 04:42 AM

I have a site with over 100 pages on it, and i would like to simplify updating
the nav bar when a new main section is added to the site. Is it possible to
make a navbar as a seperate item, and then have dreamweaver insert the bar in
the relevant position on every page? I know that frontpage can do a similar
thing as i used to have a footer.bot page that put the footer on all pages in
the site. I no longer use frontpage because it has limitations and it leaves
the html in a mess.
Any ideas??
The navbar i want to make needs to replace the text on this site.

Thanks
Steve

Make your nav bar into a Server Side Include and it'll reduce your
maintenance workload substantially.

You should find lots of info in Dreamweaver's built-in Help files.

There's also a good overview here (you don't need the PMM product to use
SSIs):
