MySql Connection on my ISP Server

Hi,

My ISP servers only allow connections to the database on the localhost. So
when I try to setup a connection DW cannot connect. How do I get around this
issue?

I tried localhost, but that ofcourse did not work since I do not have
Apache/MySql installed on my XP machine.

Hi Ravi,
Most ISP's will only allow a localhost connection to mysql. I would
suggest you download it and set it up on your XP machine. It is not all
that difficult and there are plenty of how-to's on the web to guide you
through it.

Dreamweaver MX does actually connect to the MySQL server in the context of
localhost. It uploads code to your server, which connects to your MySQL
database, so it runs under localhost.
