Default My nephew destroy my cd... I need IIS - 12-23-2003 , 06:42 AM

I have a problem about viewing page in Live Data window then someone ask if I did install the IIS but my nephew destroyed my cd...

How should I know if I already had installed IIS in my system?

Please help!!!

Hi,
open your browser and type http://localhost If you have IIS you'll see a
windows start page. If not I dont think IIS is available for download but
you could certainly get a replacement cd from Microsoft for a nominal charge

Hallo!

I open my browser and then I typed "http://localhost", the page cannot be diplayed...

I found some in the www.microsoft.com and I think it is free to download

- IIS 6.0 Migration Tool
- IIS 6.0 Deployment Guide
- IIS 6.0 Resource Kit Tools

Which one I need?

My OS is Windows XP Professional

none of them will help you - call Microsoft (check their website for your
local office) They'll send you a replacement windows cd for a small charge
but of course it may take a while - sorry there's not a quicker way to get
you up and running. Do you have a friend/colleague with a win xp cd that you
could borrow to install IIS from?

I have a CD of Windows XP Professional... My Dreamweaver UltraDev 4 is the one I lost!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, in the CD installer of my XP where I can find the IIS I need.

Thank you very much!!!

Your Windows install disk is the one you need. IIS is a part of
Windows XP Professional. In the control panel Add/Remove programs
applet, choose to add/remove windows components. Then choose to add
IIS. It will ask you to insert your Windows install disk, then install
it for you.
