You can use Find and Replace to change MX template syntax to version 4
style. the template syntax for version 4 will work in MX and 2004.
see a tutorial at this site for converting syntax-
http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com
If the templates are version 4 syntax, you could ~probably~ edit them in
2004 and they will stay version 4 syntax, as long as you don't use any mx
specific features like editable attributes. But may be safest to leave the
changing of templates to version 4 work stations.
Also- you should set up all the copies of Dw so they do NOT "share design
notes" The .mno files from 2004 will cause a total lockup of version 4!

I have upgraded to Dreamweaver MX but other collegues at work are still using
version 4.
Is there a way I can set Dreamweaver MX to make templates etc that can be also
used by ver 4?
Basically I am after a simular feature to Microsoft's Word - In that programme
I can select to save a file in a previous versions format.
I am awair that a load of great MX features would be unavailable but my
collegues need to be able to use templates etc without problems.
Thanks
