Multiple search in database!

I am loooking for a tutorial or an extension for a multiple search in a
database. First I have the search page where I have 7 or 8 dropdowns,
radiobuttons, checkboxes which is containing data from the database. Then I
have the result page and at last a detail page. The user must be able to search
all or make a selection that suit his needs. Depending on what the users
selection I need to show the results. Anyone who can help? Thanks.
