Default Moved template folder - 11-15-2004 , 11:58 PM

I moved my template folder accidentally while moving all of my .htm files
(except the index.htm) to a new folder under the site root. In trying to put
the template folder back under the site root, I'm having problems creating new
pages using the template file. I wanted to move the .htm files to a subfolder
because my remote site will have two separate sites in it. How can I move
the template folder back to the site root without messing everything else up?
If I just move it in dreamweaver, when I try to create a new page, my template
is not displayed correctly - everything is skewed to the right - as if I
changed the size of the table cell widths. My site is www.shjboulder.org -
and the template folder is currently under the SHJ Parish folder. On my
hard-drive, my site name is Sacred Heart, with a folder under it called SHJ
Parish, and the template folder is under that. Thanks for the help!

In DW, just move the Templates folder so that it sits at the site's root.

Moving the folder would have no effect on your layout, since template markup
is not a layout tool. If your layout is weird it is because your layout
methodology is, well, weird.

ok, but why does it look ok if I open the template before I move it, and it
doesn't after I move it? I did look at my source code and noticed that I
have a bunch of spacer.gif files that I shouldn't need. I guess these were
created by Fireworks when I exported the page to Dreamweaver.

I would have to see the before and after pages to make a diagnosis. Most
likely it would be because a link to an image or a stylesheet got hosed in
the process....

Moving a template folder certainly isn't going to do this.
