Since it doesn't appear anyone else has responded I'll give you my 2¢.

I would use an image map: create a number of small circular maps over your
art (you can use the map button from the info palette) and assign a
mouseover action to each one to display an hidden layer. And create hidden
layers for each button with the city name. I expect you'd also want to hide
the layers again on mouse out.

There are probably more sophisticated ways to do this.

You can get more accuracy and efficiency by using polygons to trace the
outlines.

Hi,
I'm looking to have a mouse over for cities on a world map whcih when
mouse over it says the name. I've seen something in the past like a marker
that displays text. Does this sound familir to anyone if so could you let me
