Modified date on remote server is upload time! Help!

Help! Just upgraded to DW CS3 on OS 10.4.11.

I've read through some old posts on synchronization and couldn't find an
answer to my problem, which is that DW is changing the file modified date on
our remote server to the upload time and day instead of keeping the actual
modified date of the local file. I don't want this to happen. Can someone tell
me if there is a setting or preference to keep the local file assets intact?

I have turned off synchronize and cache options in the site definitions and it
doesn't seem to help. When I leave synchronize checked DW says local files
haven't been modified in over 2 years! Help!

This is how DW works. It has ALWAYS changed the timestamp to correspond to
the GMT setting on the server. I don't think you can prevent that.
