missing icons

:confused; I have just moved to dreamweaver 8 from dreamweaver4. As I was using
a new computer the website wasn't on it. I can't seem to download the website
from the remote server so that I can have a copy on my hard drive the upload
and download buttons are missing. I can update the website it just means I
alter things in the screen and they go immediately to be updated without giving
me a copy. What have I done wrong in my installation?
