Default Meta Tags - do they work? - 07-11-2004 , 12:26 AM






My webpage is at http://www.cox-internet.com/myspace and I can not seem to get
it into a search engine. I have placed keywords in the header, I have placed
some keywords in the description and I have use the same keywords through out
the body. Please someone tell my why I can't just get on yahoo or some o ther
search engine and find my webpage after it is up and running. It has been up
for a lil over a month.

Instea of trying to get directly into yahoo for example, have you tried
submitting to the dmoz directory?
This directory actually feeds quite a few of the major SEs. Have a look at
the SEO articles at the link in sig.

Thanks nadia, I sugested my site and mabie it will get put on there. While were talking have you had any luck creating simple chat pages or anything of that nature?

Have other websites related to yours link to your website to get higher search
engine ranking.

Also, submit your site to the following:

You mean like forums, there's a few free apps out there, but will depend on
what your server supports,
