Default meta tags... - 07-08-2003 , 10:05 AM

Hey all,

I've put keywords into my .dwt (template files) but I'm curious if the
search bots actually see them in the .dwt? Should they be in the .html file
instead?

Thanks,

They will be, when attached. I don't believe anything but MM stuff is
stopped by the <begin editable . . .etc> tags.
No?
but then again, bots rely a lot less on meta tags than they used to and more
attention should be paid to actual page content to help search engines
index.

Ah:

The dwt file should only exist on your hard drive. It has no function up on
the server. By putting the keywords in the dwt file, you *are* putting them
in the child HTML files.
