Default math in forms - 11-13-2004 , 04:28 PM

what's the easiest way to add math operations to fields in my forms? I'm
using php/mysql and would like to add all the values(all numbers) of all the
fields into a total field on the same table. I downloaded a behavior called
"Yaromat's Calculate Form. However, it does not allow me to do the
calculations to any variable that gets it's values from another table(for
example: 3 fields need to be added together. Each of these fields use menu
instead of a text area to get it's values from another table.) Does anyone
know of an easy solution?

THere is no limit to the number of tables that can reside within one
form. So can you not put all your form fields in one form and use the
yaromat extension ?

yup pretty much. Here's what I'm trying to do:
Set up a configuration page where each option(field)is on another table with
the following cells: id, item, price. I created another table w/ each field
set to menu. The label would be id and the price is set to be the value.
When I i try to use the yaromat behavior, the only fields I'm allowed to add
is the id and price. Any field that is pulled from another table is not in
the list (these fields are set to int in my sql). Thanks in advance.
