Default Matching Colours! - 02-08-2005 , 09:55 AM

I keep on trying to make background colours and cell colours to match up with
the Flash elements in my website but can only seem to get a close match.

Can anybody suggest a way to get an exact colour match. I get sick of looking
and looking to point of being blind to the answer that's right under my nose!

I hope there's somebody that can help me out.

Cheers

The Jay

Try to get the hex lecture of your colors. Hexadecimal values are exact
mixes of your colors that should display the same way across your
website-flash animation.

So open a text editor like notepad or emacs and start making your color
palet:
- So with your dropper tool select the color you are over once you select
it click on the color square and move your mouse to the bar this will let
just just see the original hexadecimal of the color you selected.

- Copy and paste that sequence on your text file

- Repeat the action with any other color you need.

- Put that same squence on your dreamweaver color areas.

Do you at least have the RGB # for your colors? Convert them to hex.

Background colors are rendered by the browser. Colors in Flash are rendred
by the flash plug in. There may always be discrepencies between the two.

On top of that, Flash uses JPG compression, will will shift the colors of
any embedded raster images.
