Default Many, many extra spaces in my code - 06-20-2004 , 07:30 PM

Hi All!

The code of my pages seems like it has many, many extra spaces, for example:

<p><font color="#000066" size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica,
sans-serif">Forums
(also known as &quot;discussion boards) are areas at websites
where you can go to request help with something and/or to
answer
someone
else's request for help.</font></p>

Why does the text quit at "Forums" and then drop down to the next line each
time and then "websites" and then "answer" and then "someone" ??

Thank you for any help or light that can be shed on this!
Diane Dennis

Make sure that in EDIT | Preferences, your line break type is set for your
HOST's OS under Code Format.

Hi Murray!

Thank you for your reply! I checked and it is set as CR (Macintosh). I'm on a Mac so would that be correct or do you think I should use LF (Unix)?

Thank you again Murray!
Diane

Use the Line Break of your HOST, not your development system. So use Unix.

Hi

This happened to me but it was even more extreme in my case. Huge gaps
between text. I eventually reinstalled and have had no problems since.

Hi Murray!

I changed it and it's still doing the same thing unfortunately. I read the
other post here about Elaine reinstalling and not having the problem anymore.

I had Dreamweaver installed on my iMac before I got my laptop. It did the
same thing on that computer that it's doing here. I'm thinking the reinstall
won't work for me because I did just install several days ago on my new laptop
and it still has the same problems...

Any more suggestions?

Thank you again everyone!!
Diane
