Default Making Japanese Websites in Dreamweaver - 10-26-2005 , 01:40 AM

I teach web design using dreamweaver -- one of my students, who is Japanese,
wants to make a commercial site in Dreamweaver. We're using MX 2004, but I
believe she's downloaded the trial version of 8 -- both English and Japanese
(two separate computers).

I know a lot about web design, but nothing about using HTML and foreign
languages -- obviously the Photoshop elements are a breeze, but how do you
handle creation of Japanese friendly HTML in D'weaver?

HTML is a universal markup language, and the English version of MX 2004
and DW8 handles Japanese with no problem.

The only change that is needed is to set the page encoding to either
Shift_JIS or UTF-8. Since your student is a native speaker of Japanese,
she'll have no problem with the language itself.
