Macromedia + Mysql?

Is there someone with some experience using macromedia and Mysql? I tried
severeal ways and it does not work as they explain in their books and
tutorials....

I think normally I can reach my database (in MYSQL) on my website from
macromedia Dreamwaver but this seems not possibel. I can reach my site and
online files but the database (wich is in MYSQL) is not reachabel.

How do I have to fix it to read my online database in macromedia dreamwaver?
