Default Mac not playing flash file - 11-02-2004 , 05:05 PM

I have a site that shows properly in Windows. However, in my Corportate Portal
area (.aspx) the SWF files do not show on the Mac machine. The files show
properly in the Public section (.htm) on the Mac machine. Any ideas on how to
resolve this?

The file extensions have nothing to do with it. Does the Mac get an error?
Are the OBJECT/EMBED tags the same on both pages?

Here is what the customer said. 'There are no error messages and the page
appears to be complete. The graphic underneath the 'Corporate Portal' logo is
showing a missing graphic box. The missing navigation bar at the top shows no
missing graphic image. It is just blank.'

So, wait...this isn't your computer? Does this person have flash installed?
Is there a link so that we can see the page?

Correct, not my computer. Everything looks fine on my machine (as well as other folks who have Windows). Here's a link to the page. http://www.cis-llc.net/Intranet/CP_Home.aspx

My guess is that user simply doesn't have Flash installed, or their
computer/network is blocking flash content.

For the record, I'd never use flash for navigation for this very reason.

They must have flash installed because they can see the header and other flash
files in the .HTM pages. Their computer does not appear to be blocking the
flash on those pages. Is there any chance that .ASPX acts funny on a Mac with
the flash files?

aspx = .net pages = server side code. It has nothing to do with browser
itself.

One thing I noticed was that your SWF files have spaces in them. That's not
usually a good thing. For starters, get rid of the spaces.

Other than that, I'm not sure what to say. I'm stumped.
