Lost Snippets

When installing Dreamweaver 8, somehow my Homesite snippets folder was deleted.
I'm guessing that Homesite was reinstalled?

The now empty snippets folder is located under the Homesite User Data folder.
Why would my snippets data be deleted or over-written?

Is there any hope that it was backed up somewhere else? I lost alot of work.
