lookup tables in access

I have a web application I want to update, while it was fine for my clients
puposes in the past it seems a bit basic now. I want to use the functionality
of lookup tables in access, but am not too sure if I can port that across to an
asp page in dreamweaver. Is there any way to query an access database and
dynamically include the lookup table values as well? Is there any good
tutorials on designing access tables/queries specifically for web applications?
