Default Login forms - 07-13-2004 , 01:58 PM

How do you set up a login with password and user name. I need thies login to
have three titlle options for a site I'm creating. When you enter the site you
can login as three different options, each option you would have to fill in
your title, username and passcode, however depending on the tittle the
information various. For example, Tittle A would be alowed to enter some of
the site, title B would be able to enter all the tittle A has and more, and
Tittle C has access to everything.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.....

Are you using a database to store userid, password and title? If so,
see my post on May 25. If not, you shoulda be able to do some manual
coding with functions to check the value of the title and direct as
necessary.

you show where I can get the info so I can manually code the functions to check
for the values? And do you think and should be using a database? If so can
you point me in the right to direction to learn more about this topic? I'm
very new to this, how can I read your May 25th post, is it on this website?
Thanks again.

If you don't know how to code, I recommend you find someone who has
done some programming to help you. If you have done any programming,
you can learn this stuff, there is lots of information in Google
Groups. I took a Fortran course 20 years ago in college and by
researching in Google, have been able to learn enough JavaScript to
do what I need to do (and be dangerous).

You can find my post if you do an advanced search on my name on that
date. I don't know if you need a database, if you have 3 types of
users, do they really need to "login" or can they just select where
they need to go via a link. If they need to login, is a generic login
all they need?
