I've been getting the following error message sporadically: "No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept." This is occurring on my local home LAN. I'm running IIS on Win2000 Server and have two PC running Win2000 Pro that are connected via a router. I have multiple sites setup in DMX on the testing server. Every once in awhile when I try to view a site that I'm working on, (http://localhost/mysitename/index.htm), I get the above error message. Anyone know what is causing this or how to correct it? Thanks in advance. -D- |

I get this when I'm hotly testing ASP pages. I just stop IIS and restart it.... -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Team Macromedia Volunteer for Dreamweaver (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "-D-" <noone (AT) nospam (DOT) com> wrote in message news:cftuf9$8e9$1 (AT) forums (DOT) macromedia.com... Murray *TMM* wrote: I get this when I'm hotly testing ASP pages. I just stop IIS and restart it.... If you're not running the Pro version of windows (2k or xp) then you are limited to 10 sessions at a time in IIS. If you've started up several browser sessions and have other misc. connections into IIS, then it'll puke /> until one or more of the current sessions expire. Either that, or Murray is just frying eggs on his system again ;o) -- kindler chase http://www.ncubed.com Grooving with SuperInvoice news://news.ncubed.com/support n3 Support Group |

Hmmm, I'm running the Pro version on my work PC (Win2K) and the server is Win2000 Server. Is this something I can set to more than 10 connections? I don't think that I had any sessions open when it happens because it'll occur right when I first start working and open the browser to view a site I'm working on. Is that still a possible cause? |

Opppsss... sorry, meant to say: win2k pro - 10 sessions at a time. win2k server - too many to worry about. -- kindler chase http://www.ncubed.com Home of SuperInvoice: The Online Invoicing Application.
