Load New Image and Text Caption

I am trying to have a user click on a small (thumbnail) image and have a larger
version appear on the same page to the right and then have a caption appear. I
want to have a dozen or so thumbnails on the page and each caption will be
unique. I have a sample here (without pictures) as an example:
