Default Links and animation - 11-23-2004 , 01:02 PM

Hi, I am a beginner with Dreamweaver and I would like to know if it?s possible
to create a link on top of a flash animation and how. If not, can we make the
whole animation area the link? Many thanks, Cfp

I'm no flash master, but I just tried to test this on one of my web sites,
http://effortlessbeing.com/, and if you hover over the flash animation, it
shows the link, but it doesn't act on it. The way I created the link was to
wrap the flash object with the href tag

<a href="http://www.effortlessbeing.com" target="_blank"> </a>

and it didn't work - so I am now interested, too.

Make the link in Flash. You can create an invisible button by adding a
graphic to only the "hit" state. When placed on the animation it shows
as a light blue shape. Size it to cover your animation, and then add a
Flash "getURL" action to it.
