Default Lining up text without using a table - 12-04-2003 , 05:17 PM

I'm fairly new with Dreamweaver and have a number of questions. For simplicity in answering I will put each subject in a different email.

I have an email that is sent daily to subscribers. These are usually quotes from books.
They are written originally in MS Word, copied into Dreamweaver and converted to HTML, then copied into my autoresponder/shopping cart.

When I put:

From: bookname

By: author's name

I can have it (the bookname and author's name) lined up perfectly in Dreamweaver and in my autoresponder, but I find that different browser's open these up and everything can be scattered.

How can I keep these lined up without using a table?

Thanks for your help,

Ellie

There are a lot of people who're "against" using table in general, and I
often agree, but I would say this is a case in which you're fully
justified in placing the items in a table, because you're presenting a
matrix of data.
