Default library items - 11-15-2004 , 06:21 PM

I've built a drop down memu bar in Fireworks MX. When I export it as html and
images, and insert it in a DW document as Fireworks html, it works fine. If I
export it as a DW library item and then try to insert it as a library item, it
appears in the document, but will not work.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks

It works. You have to really know what you are doing to make it do so. Which
is true with everything about these menus. I'd love to see you investigate
alternative methods. Care to?

If so, then read these -

Yes, Murray, I know it works. What I need to know is why it works one way (html/images) and not the other (library item). I want to do this in DW/FW without external extensions.

You do not need to use any extensions to do it all in DW and not use those
menus. You can use simple show/hide layer behaviors, and do a much better
job than the pop-ups, with none of the additional problems.

It works as a library item - prove it to yourself by going there -

http://www.great-web-sights.com/library4d.html

where you will see a pop-up menu as a Library item.
