Libraries Not Updating!!!

:confused;I don't get it. I've tried re-building my library item, i've tried
re-inserting it into my pages multiple times, I've exited and re-entered
Dreamweaver, but NONE of my libraries will work right. I'm building one website
for my online ceramics business and I'm building the logo headbar and
navigation bar with image links into a library so I can have them on each page
I develop, that way I can update all of them in one fail swoop if I decide to
add a link button, or change the logo size a little, ....but, MY LIBRARY WON'T
WORK!!!! I drag and drop my library into the site, and they all updated when
they were all created and opened with the library file for the first time, but
once I went back into Dreamweaver, all of the pages are editable in the library
regions and none of the pages will update when I change an area in the actual
library. What's going on? I don't get it! I'm not holding down my control
button so I'm not just copying code into the other pages, they actually are
linked to the library item, but they won't update. This is the most frustrating
thing in the world! What am I doing wrong? I'm a beginner with Dreamwever, but
I know HTML and it seems that the coding is there for it to read from my
library item, but it won't. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Show me the code in one of your Library items, please.

Have you recreated the site's Cache?

Have you considered using Server-side includes instead of Library items?
