Default Layer Positioning in browser - 06-28-2004 , 10:07 PM

I have a table with 3 colums and 12 rows. I have text in the middle row,
well they are really text images that when you rollover an image will appear
in the third colum. Un fortunately the image in the third colum messus up
the spacing issue in colum 2, but what I would is to have the table
aotostrech so when you view either at 800x600 or at 1024x768 everything
looks porpotional. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

Use percentages for the table and cell width and height

width="30%"
etc

Declaring widths and heights in cells is not a sure fire way to get them to
stay at that width. A cell will shrink or expand to fill whatever content
is in it.

You say layers in your subject line, but mention that you are using a table
of layout.. Layers (Divs) should not be placed in a cell - you will get
unexpected results if you are not aware of the problems associated with
doing so.

Sounds like you need to build a 'flexible' table - check out the tables
tutorial in my sig.
