Default Language of choice - 09-13-2004 , 01:53 PM

Which scripting language is the best to learn, (or combination of) if I want
my web sites to have the functionality of being able to dynamically interact
with the users, and allow them to be able to update or post to their own
site (s). Bare with me here I am new at this and my lingo is probably off
key. I know there are a million of them out there, but in terms of making my
sites function with the users input, where do I begin? I am already familiar
with some JavaScript, and I am currently beginning ASP, just not sure where
to go next.

Thanks

Jo (Aka "The Rookie")

Horses for courses!

My personal choice would be PHP/MySQL. I run Macs here and from a
development point of view I find it easy to set up Apache et al on my laptop
to run dynamic sites offline.

Also, PHP is all open source so it makes life easier on the pocket as well.
