make the link to a self-referencing frameset. After a while their browser
will turn itself off...

Luckily, you cannot do this.

Sneak into their homes, distract them by lighting fires in a place other
than the room with the computer, then when they run for the fires quickly
kill all their browser windows when they are not looking. That'll get 'em
for sure! Hehehe! Imagine the look of disgust on their faces when they
return to find that all their browser windows have closed!! Imagine the look
of horror as the race for the fire extinguisher, only to find out that you'd
dismantled it! What power you will have! HAHAHAHAHA! *eg*

P.S. As arson is against the law and quite dangerous, I would not recommend
this. I only suggested it here because it seems that it's something you
wouldn't be too much against if you are actually willing - and wanting - to
make rash decisions for your visitors like killing their browser windows.
I'm sure they'd love it if you killed the window they were doing their
online taxes in, or their banking, or their online exam. If you did this to
me, I'd probably hunt you down...and then I'd tell all my friends that your
site is evil and must be destroyed. Keep your hands off people's browsers!
....And their fire extinguishers :-D

well it's not like you can stop me I've already came up with a script that
kills browser windows if you try closing it's window but for some reson it'll
only take out one of them and not to mention how you have to right click on it
and close.
Anyone have a real idea?

You have:

- posted the same question about 10 times
- are asking a question that most folks have no interest in answering
- have already received an answer (you can't close any windows you didn't
explicitly launch short of finding a way to crash their browser)

so why push the issue and piss of folks?

But that only closes the browser window you have written yourself, not all
the other browser windows that the user may have open. So it doesn't really
count, does it? Can't you be more destructively creative, Linda? ;-)

I think there are ways to crash IE with javascript, but they don't work in
other browsers, so the OP won't get any cross-browser annihilation of
browser windows without the users permission.

Arrgh! Why'd you have to go and tell him that!
