Default Javascript set to deliver page for screen resolution - 11-04-2004 , 02:03 PM

Hi all, I was wondering if there is a way to set a page up with javascript so
that it loads pages designed for certain monitor resolutions such as 800 x 600,
1024 x 768 etc.? So page1.html loads for a person with a 800x600 resolution
and page2.html loads for someone with 1024 x768. If this is possible how do I
set up the script and where do I place it within the html code? Thanks for any
help.

Bad, bad, idea.

What page would you load on my 1280 screen with my preferred 720px wide
browser?

And after you have distorted my preferred settings, do you reset them when I
leave your site?

I agree with Murray - Leave my browser alone! I know how I like it, you
don't. For example, my screen resolution is 1400 x 1050, but my browser
appears on another monitor (very occasionally, across two monitors). How
would you determine which monitor my browser is on in relation to my PC?

The correct solution is to create a site that works regardless of the
viewport width - have a look at

Pete.
