JavaScript errors in Dreamweaver 8 -

When I open Dreamweaver 8 I get the following series of Javascript errors: "The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: Unable to open script file ...."Applications:Macromedia Dreamweaver 8:Configuration:Shared:Common:Scripts:dwscripts.js "(error 2) "The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: Unable to open script file ...."Applications:Macromedia Dreamweaver 8:Configuration:Startup:RecordsetFind.js"(error 2) "The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: Unable to open script file ...."Applications:Macromedia Dreamweaver 8:Configuration:Menus:MM:Site_File.js"(error 2) ""The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: Unable to open script file ...."Applications:Macromedia Dreamweaver 8:Configuration:Shared:MM:Scripts:CMN:UI.js"(error 2) Plus many, many more... How can this be fixed? Thanks! |

what extensions have you installed and are they compatable with DW8 C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration you could try closing dw8. and navigating to the Configuraton file as above, note that "All Users" is the name of my user area of my PC. your might be different. any way if you navigate to your configuration file and rename it Configuration_old . then restart dw8. that should start your dw with out any of your installed extensions and dw8 as it would be just out of the box. regards Kenny . It would be in a different location on the Mac. I renamed the configuration folder (configuration_old) but the same error messages persist concerning .js files. When I load the extension manager there is nothing listed. Re-install didn't work either. Very frusterating problem... Any further input would be greatly appreciated to say the least. Thanks! Sue |
