Have also been getting this and have put in an email to 90 day support, uninstalling any extensions and re-installs are not the answer ( have also tried this ).

Just done a spyware cleanout and I have this problem NO MORE !! possibly a coincidence but maybe worth a try.

I found a Workaround for the Problem.

Create a HFS+ DiskImage which contains the Macromedia Dreamweaver 8
Folder.
By dragging the DW8 Icon out of the DMG into the dock, the image will
automatically be mounted an dw will be started.

If you start DW8 from here now, it just works....

I found the Solution for the Problem:

If you use a : or a | in your Volume Name (which Mac OS X encodes as :
which is the same thing like a / under Unix), DW doesn't recognize that
the path is /Volume|Name/Applications/... instead of
/Volume/Name/Applications/...

So: Just remove the special Character in your Volume name and
everything is fine!
