Default Javascript errors - 07-08-2008 , 11:59 PM

Hi,

I've had about 30 sites set up in DW (CS3, Mac OSX, Leopard) forever. All of
the sudden, when I try to open any of the pages within the file I get a number
of javascript errors including:

At line 19 of file
"LaurasMacBookPro:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver
CS3:Configuration:Menus:MM:BrowseInBridge.js":Refe renceError:JSBridge is not
defined

and

The following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
"LaurasMacBookPro:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver
CS3:Configuration:Shared:MM:Scripts:CMN:displayHel p.js" (error 2)

On both types it says I may have to reinstall Dreamweaver. Anyone have any
ideas how to avoid having to reinstall? It still works just fine on my
desktop, so I can drag files from one to another (which solved another
MM:Shared Script error) but I can't figure out what to do about these.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Laura

Thanks for link. I've tried everything on that page and nothing is working.
Creating a new configuration file by restarting and naming the old one to old
actually tripled the errors.

They are all MM:Shared Script js errors.

Any other ideas?? I dragged the entire Configuation file from the computer
where it's working fine to the laptop which is having the problem, restarted,
still getting all the errors, around ten every time I open any page on any DW
site.

Any help appreciated!

That means you renamed the wrong configuration folder. Please read the
directions again.

This is exactly what I did:

Macintosh:

1. Quit Dreamweaver
2. In the Mac Finder, browse to the following folder:
* Dreamweaver CS3:
Mac HD/Users/[user]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver
9/Configuration
* Dreamweaver 8:
Mac HD/Users/[user]/Library/Application
Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/Configuration
3. Rename the folder to "Configuration Old"
4. Restart Dreamweaver and see if the problem persists.

Perhaps I misstated it in my last post or wasn't clear. The above is from the
technote in the first link you sent. I did exactly what it says, restarted,
and the errors have tripled.

I've deleted all caches and configuration folders...still getting the errors.

Any help would be so appreciated! I'm stuck.

Thanks.

I ended up reinstalling, got a whole new batch of translator errors, dumped the .dat file for the umpteenth time, restarted and it works fine again. What a pain.

Thanks for the link.
