Default Invalid filename - 07-17-2003 , 11:42 AM

I am a beginner for Dreamweaver MX. When i use the function of inserting interactive image by:
Insert --> Interactive Images --> Flash Button / Flash Text. But, in the "Save As " field of the setting window popup, no matter what i type, it always tell me that " "xxx.swf" is an invalid filename." Can anyone help me to solve it? I really want to use those buttons as they are beautiful. Thanks!!!

That's because it's looking for an image format. On the Insert tool bar,
click Media. That will change the panel and show you the insert for Flash
Buttons.

Thanks for your reply.
Do you mean click Insert --> media --> Flash? But i'm not inserting an exist *.swf files.

The Flash button is given by dreamweaver MX like a template. After Insert --> Interactive Images --> Flash Button, a window will pop up, then i change some setting and a *.swf file will be generated by DW automatically. But now it said that it's an invalid filename. So how to solve it? Thanks.

question-

Are you on Macintosh??

if so-- pls do this test to check for funky characters in HD or foldernames.

Open a new dw file using File-->New
-->Don't save it<--
Insert an image from within that site's Local site folder.
What's the file path in the <img tag in source??

Oh, i know what the problem is. It's because the path of my file contains some non-standard character like chinese, japanese. I change to a path that contain english only, then it works now.
Anyway, thank you very much for your reply.^.^

I tend to disagree about the beauty and will add that they are totally
unusable to those of us who do not have the Flash player installed.
