INTRANET- Launch applications, view folders??

I am trying to develop a small intranet for my office using dreamweaver.

I need to be able to launch applications that are resident on each computer
on the LAN, and also view contents of certain folders within the browser.

Can anyone help me with this??

If you're using IIS, then you'll need to give the site directory browse. As
far as running applications off of their PCs, you COULD *maybe* write
something to launch that, but I'm not 100% sure how that would work. Time to
