importing a website

Hi,

I am new to dreamweaver. Is it possible to import a web site into dreamweaver. I can't find it in the help section.

do you mean import a website? you can always open the file in dreamweaver or copy & paste its code onto a new dw document

If you put all relavent files into a site folder and then set up a new site
in dreamweaver with those details then dreamweaver will rebuild/create a new
site cache which will show all pages, graphics etc.

If you mean will it create it from the web I don't know, unlikely to be
sucessfull as most designers do not upload every file used to create a site
as it takes to much time. So you would be unlikely to have a complete file
set.

If what you mean by "import a site" is to grab a site already on the web,
and bring it locally, then you would need to have the login information for
that site to do it. Do you have that?
