Default Importing Flash Rollovers - 08-07-2004 , 09:54 PM

I have created a simple flash rollover menu button which I have imported into
my dreamweaver page. When I test this page on my PC, the rollover works fine -
and also when I publish the page live, and view from my pc, it seems to work
fine. However when I view it on the net from another PC, things aren't so good.
When the cursor is over the button, the over state button isn't there (just
that wee white box with the red cross). (It's the grammar guide button at this
website - http://orangutanenglish.com)
I am not really sure what file I should be linking to? Should it be the jpeg
image of the button, or the HTML image, or something else? I tried linking to
the HTML image but it apeared as a broken link.

I have the feeling this is probably the most simplistic question on this
forum, but as a complete novice it is one that as been troubling me for a while
now. Thanks

Adam

Sorry, to clarify, it is a sliced fireworks pop-up menu I created. Menu appears, but when it does, the over state doesn't. Cheers.

Make sure the path to the image is correct. From the webpage, right click on
the image and select properties to view the path. My guess is that the path
its pointing to is a path to a file on your machine and not the path to where
the file is on your server, thus the ability to see it on your machine and the
ability to see it on the net from your machine, but not on anyone elses.

You have problems on that page.

1. You have placed the FW pop-up menu into a table cell. This will
effectively kill your layout on the Mac.
2. You have used the DW/FW pop-up menus in the first place. This will
effectively kill your career as a web developer.

Do you want to take those risks? 8)
