Import word

Can anybody help me understand why Dreamweaver wont let me Import: word or excel ? I see them there but they are not selectable.

You are on a Mac. Importing Word and Excel requires that the Operating
System be able to run a 'headless' copy of the associated application in the
background. It appears that OS10 has no such capability. You can still
copy and paste from these apps, you just cannot import.
