Default Image zoom on rollover - 07-12-2008 , 03:49 PM

Hi. Does anyone know how i can enlarge (zoom) a thumbnail image on rollover?
The thumbnail is 20x20px and within a table. I want it to zoom to about
200x200 and overlap the other content so it doesn't throw out the alignment of
the other cells. And then go back to 20x20 on rollout. Can I do this with
javascript? I'm quite new to this btw. Thanks, Dren.

You can do it with a modified Lightbox2 or Litebox script (Google them).

thanks. I looked into lightbox but am looking for something more like this

http://www.watergallery.net/custom-fountains.php

rather than having to click to load the image. Any ideas on how to do this or
is it complicated? Thanks, Dren

I worked it out in the end. I put in Ap Divs with the large image in and set
them to hide as default, then set the thumbnail to show/hide them on rollover.
this seems to work ok but please say if you can foresee any problems with this
method as i'm still learning. Thanks

That method would be fine for you, I think. There are drawbacks to it, but
I think it will be OK.
