Default Image question, low src in DW - 07-22-2004 , 11:36 AM

Excuse my ignorance here, I am new to DW. And perhaps I did the search with the
wrong keywords but didn't find much.

When I use the low src to insert a image with less size to appear faster, it
doesn't work.

What is the way to get a image appear quickly, before a higher resolution copy
of the same loads. Most of the users of my sire are in countries with 30 kbps
dialup. I see a lot of sites with a very low res image appear while the 2nd one
is loading.

Any help appreciated.

Lena

Don't use low src. It doesn't work.

Keep its weight small. There's no free lunch here.

Low source images don't work.

I never understood the logic behind adding yet another bit of weight to an
already heavy image download anyhow.

Which browsers support this? It's no HTML.

Remember the good 'ol days when browsers supported this and we could do
fancy visual tricks using it? Ah...the good old days.

Going WAAYYY back I remember when Netscape (1?) support multiple TITLE tags
so you could animate the TITLE in the browser.

Good times!...

;o)
