frame / CSS based.
Why use frames for a 5 page web site?

No offense to the author, but that's just horse manure.

Try it on that sample site I gave you. Go to the Contact page, and bookmark
it. Then load the bookmark. It'll bring you right back where you were - the
Contact page.
I tried it using Mozilla 0.8 and I ended up at the index2 page.

iFrames, however, are another issue altogether. But if mega commercial
websites with millions of dollars on the line use iFrames to run their ads,
I don't think you have much to worry about.
And if they use flash for their whole site, would you use that as a
reason to use flash only sites?

I would assume you are using Dreamweaver (why else post here) so why
not use templates and library items to create an HTML/CSS navigation
system that can be updated across multiple pages quickly?

Why would the number of pages influence whether or not to use frames?

I tried a few no-frames website using my pocket calculator. Didn't work. How
concerned should web designers be about that?

How about we concentrate on the 99% of the audience not using Mozilla 0.8?

I don't see what one thing has to do with another. The poster was wondering
if it was safe to use iFrames, and I responded that if it's safe enough for
multi-million dollar companies to stake their advertising on, then it's
reliable enough to consider as an option.

Whether it's the BEST option for his specific needs or not is entirely up to
him. But it IS a safe option.

I don't like uploading an entire site everytime I make a change to a menu,
and I don't see the practicality of reloading a menu that isn't going to
change during the course of the users' session.
