IE6 coloured bar problem

Hi all,

Could someone look at these two pages:

In IE6 you will see in the left column there is a coloured bar above
the broken image (I have intentionally omitted the images to make the
problem more visible). FF 1.5 is fine.

And another IE6 problem:

The <h1> and <h2> tags in the main content area are not visible. If you
click and drag, the text reappears.

Can someone tell me what is going on?
