I, computer : meet and greet :-)

Hello 'yall,

Boss is out of office so I'm taking the time to acquaint myself with my
laptop. Thus far I think it has been sulking at the indignation of being
used solely to email and make sites.
This PM's objective (besides doing as little work as possible) is figuring
out wireless 'stuff'. Ok, not the right form here but I just don't know
where else to begin. Is there a 'wireless for dummies' forum?
Today I've learnt my laptop has the following wireless connection devices(
don't know what else to call them), none of which I actually know how to
use....yet:
Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter
Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC
1394 Net Adapter

I would like to clear my desk of all the wires, starting with the printer,
which currently uses a USB 1.0 connection. I understand I need a wireless
print server, I think. So, printer the printer is connected to the server
and it connects wireless to the laptop. Does/can laptop use any of the three
devices listed above? Is there something else I should be asking laptop if
it possesses to make all this happen? For instance, I notice an infra-red
port also and maybe the print server connects with that?
As you can see, I'm L O S T.
Any help or direction to a KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) wireless forum
would be great. Tks.
