I can't upload or replace HTML pages!

On one of my servers when I try to upload to replace and put a new file it
keeps failing. When I view the log this is what it says:

The file "wontLoad.html" was skipped because the old remote file could not be
deleted.

What's interesting is that it only happens on this one server. Is there
something I need to change?

Have you tried deleting the file directly from the server (remote side of
the site window) ?

Yes, I've tried. The strange part is that the files are not even on the remote server to delete. Any help would be appreciated.
