I am exited out of dreamweaver, when I open certain coldfusion files

When I open certain cold fusion files, the files open on dreamweaver and then
after about one second, dreamweaver shuts down and I have to open dreamweaver
again. this only seems to happen with cold fusion files for now. no problem
with html files. I am opening the files in the code window, but could it have
something to do with the design mode? has anyone had this problem before? What
did you find? Thanks. I am using win 2000 and dreamweaver MX.
