Default http error 12152 - 08-05-2004 , 06:45 AM






when i create a site with asp vbscript then when i click test URL it say's
"dreamweaver cannot use the prefix you entered to display live data. please
double click on help for more information on how to correct this problem (HTTP
Error: 12152)
when i try to preview my work (press F12) it says "the page cannot be
displayed " even .asp or .htm

My Operating system is WinXP and i installed IIS, Please help me guy's!

1) make sure you can access your IIS server via http://localhost and
that pages are accessible thee.

2) Make sure you have configured your app directory as an application
under the IIS config snap-in. You will normally have to create
applications this way under XP.

3) Make sure your user account has write permissions to the directory,
otherwise DWMX can;t write the temporary asp.net file there to begin with..

4) And lastly, make sure you have installed ASP.NET under you copy of
WinXP, and it has properly registered (you can rerun aspnet_regiis.exe
-i just to be sure from your C:/windowz/MS.NET/Framework directory.
