Default How to set jump menu across frame? - 07-06-2004 , 04:42 AM

I have built up a web page with upper and lower frames. At the upper frame, I
have built up a jump menu. The lower frame consists of the content of the page.
However when I choose an item in the menu, the corresponding items cannot be
shown in the lower frame. How I can set the jump menu or web page so that the
lower can show the items of the menu.

The url of my web site is http://intranet.holmglad.edu.hk/~hgc-hcw

Thanks a lot

If you go to www.projectseven.com and download their free jump menu
magic extention it will allow yolu to 'target' a frame in which you want
your file to appear.

this ~mainFrame after the .htm tells the browser to load the arsenal.htm
into the mainFrame.

<option value="arsenal.htm~mainFrame">Arsenal</option>

Really hope this clears this prob up for you i had a bit of a freak out with
this prob too.

I your code you will see , in the 'select' tag for the menu, the following
code

onChange="MM_jumpMenu('parent.theFrameName',this,0 )">

put your frame name in where 'theFrameName' is and try that.

I hope it works it worked for me.
