Default How to embed videos and audio in a window - 09-23-2005 , 09:15 AM

Hello again.

I asked a question earlier about why my videos weren't working on all the
users I was showing the site to. I had embedded the video files into a page
using a ActiveX Control in Dreamweaver MX 2004. I was told not to do this, so
now I am doing it with the Insert --> Media --> Plugin, and then browing to the
video file.

My question is, is this the way I should do it? I am embedding the movie into
a seperate window that pops up when a user clicks on a link. The link uses the
Open Browser Window behavior. Is this the best way to do this?

You can see what I've done here: http://www.ifgagentrecruit.com

The video can be seen by clicking on the picture that Says click here to find
out more.

I just want the videos to be user friendly, able to be seen wherever.

Thanks.

Was there ever an answer to this guy? I need to know the same thing and
could not find a response. Can anyone help, or did you, smoothdesigner,
find the answer on your own and can you share it with me?

Many thanks,
Dana

I don't think I ever got a response to it. The way I ended up doing it on that
page was just embed the video on that page. On my leads page and another one,
I just have the videos open up in a seperate window using the Open Browser
Window behavior in Dreamweaver.

I never could get it to work very well with really large video files though.
If i have a large video file, I just link to the file itself. I would like to
know the best way to have it where the large video files (20MB or larger) could
be viewed in their own window, instead of just linking to a video file.
