How do i set the status bar

Hi,

Is there a way I can make the bar that has all the ide operations as
individual bars --- rather than tabs. For instance, I would like to have a
text bar and any other bar as separate entities.

In DW's UI? You only get two choices: Tabs, or drop-down list.
