how do I publish my website?

Hi,

I'm new to using dreamweaver and i havent a clue how to publish my site? I've read the help files but still nothing??? Can someone please help me?

1. Get a host
2. Get a domain name
3. Point the domain the the host's DNS (Domain Name Server)
4. Under "Site -> Manage sites" in DW, confgure the ftp settings for the
site according to the info you have received from your host.
5. Connect to the remote ftp server e.g. by clicking the icon in the top
of the file window.
6. Select the files you want to upload and click the upward pointing
arrow at the top of the file window.

hi,

right i have a domain name and i know all the info of my host. But i just
dont understand where to but that info? I've been to the manage sites section
and added them where I think they go but still nothing? My help files dont
work so i cant use them? Is there a tutorial with pictures available that will
talk/show me what to do?

Contact the company that's hosting your site and they should be able to walk
you through the process. If they can't or you can't get ahold of them, find
some to host that can help. I suggest hosting with godaddy.com.

Please tell me the contents of each field in the Remote site definition.

And you help doesn't work? Are you on a Mac? Have you read the Technotes
about this at the MM Site? Which DW are you using?
